FINAL ROUND  REVIEW -  WOW WEE!

Still holding an 8 point lead over Glenn & Quinny, Kenny remained the most likely winner on Friday night after a tantalising BBQ at Scoot's amongst cries of "If it bleeds you can kill it" ringing out. This was followed by yet another near all night session between KB, Quinny & The Bean that would set up what would be a very testing time on the final 18 holes (or 19?) while Glenn "slinked" off to bed much earlier in what could prove to be a very smart move indeed!.....

ROUND 6 REVIEW -  THE DOOR IS AJAR!

Kenny has a commanding 13 point lead going into the penultimate round at magnificent Moonah Links Legends course. The gladiators gradually assemble at the putting green after alighting their belongings at Scoot's Blairgowrie palace. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of the one "who caint be beat" he doesn't let us down by showing up after an all night party (with himself) seemingly oblivious to what lay ahead......

ROUND 5 REVIEW -  HE CAN'T BE BEAT!

On a windy smokey Friday evening at Flinders Mike finally came to play but probably wasted a near perfect round by shooting a Massey equalling record of 46 stableford points and rocketing himself from last to second last while trimming five shots from his handicap. Fusspot carded a respectable 36 points to cOme in second while Kenny compiled enough (35 pts) to pick up 3rd place - his worst finish this year (are some cracks starting to show?).....

ROUND 4 REVIEW -  JUGGERNAUT ON THE LOSE!
Somebody stop him!!!!

Yes Kenny did it again shooting a massive 44 stableford points to finish one point ahead of Jimmy with Scoot a further 3 points adrift coming in third. The win catapults him from a previous 2.5 points to a 9.5 point lead over Glenn who could only muster 30 stableford points to finish 8th on the day. K.B has amassed 45 massey points from a possible 48 and it seems he still has room to move in his new handicap of 30.4. However, there are huge obstacles ahead for him at Moonah Legends and The Dunes on the final weekend....

ROUND 3 REVIEW -  IT'S BEAN SPECIAL!
Cool, damp conditions with some rain during the first three holes saw low scores with six of the nine man field carding under par results with many hand brakes and anchors put to desperate use. However it was The Bean who said catch me if you can during a solid compilation consisting of 45 strokes on the front and easing down at the line with a fine 49 to finish in front with a comfortable net 63 to keep him still within sight of the overall leaders with four rounds remaining.......

ROUND 2 REVIEW - MURPH CONQUERS & KENNY CONSOLIDATES
Cool, sunny with a strong southerly breeze and four of the 10 man field recorded sub par rounds but it was Murph with a net 67 thanks to a brilliant 37 strokes over the back nine to record his first round victory since round 2 of the 2005-2006 season. While Kenny consolidated his place at the top of the Massey table with a solid 69 to take home another 11 points........... |Full Details|

ROUND 1 REVIEW - KOOL HAND KENNY
Mild, overcast conditions saw Kenny get off to a similar start to last year with a runaway win by shooting a Massey record equalling 46 stableford points. Putting his driver away after 9 holes and teeing off consistantly with an iron he amassed 28 points on the back nine (only one hole did not score at least 3 or 4 points!) ...... |Full Details|

WELCOME TO THE 24th MASSEY OF 2008 / 2009
Yes, Henry thinks now that he has won an unprecedented 7th Massey that he also holds the majority vote and has therefore gone ahead and booked all preliminary rounds (except Dewars Classic Day in January) without consultation or due consideration to us backbenchers.

It all kicks off at "dreary" Drouin on 19th October at 8.30am - Stableford.....  This obscure course must suit his game where he obviously expects to get off to a good start. Starting handicaps are as shown in the column to the left except that Henry also has a one stroke penalty putting him off 3.7!!!

Then it's off to "ambling" Amstel on Sunday 16 November at 2.00pm - Stroke
Followed by "crappy" Carrington Park (obviously his home track!) on Sunday 14 December at 7.15am - Stroke
January is of course reserved for the Dewars Classic Day - To Be Confirmed- Stableford.
"Fabulous" Flinders is scheduled for Sunday 15 February at 2.00pm - Stableford.
The final weekend again sees two Stroke rounds plus ambrose day played from Friday to Sunday on Labour Day weekend in March - Venues to be decided.
