2016-2017 FINAL ROUND - YARRAWONGA MURRAY

Only three players left with a mathematical chance of winning the Massey. Q now 4.5 pts ahead of Glenn and Jimmy. With Quinny getting way to far ahead of himself the night before with some witnesses saying that he was parading the Massey Trophy round & around the dinner table (pfft!).

At the half way mark the scores were:
Glenn 21, Tubbsy 18, Henry & Jimmy 16,  Murph & Mike 14, Bean 12 & Quinny 11 (o oh!).

The Match Play final had Jimmy 3 up at the half after winning 4 in a row from hole 5 to 8 after Q could only scramble 1 pointers.

It was great reward for consistency throughout the year as Glenn never really had a bad round but left his best until last coming home with a 37 (21 & 16) to earn his third Massey title to go with his 9 runner ups. While Q 23 (11/12) was the exact opposite having three excellent rounds to go with 3 equally crap rounds (my doctor says the pain will subside so I think I will recover in time for round 1 of the 17/18 season). Jimmy did enough to maintain third place with 28 points (16/12).

Glenn has now finished 1st, 2nd,1st & 2nd over the last four years! (what happened to the Walter Lindrum rule? Has it been softened too much?)

Scores were:
Glenn 37 (21 out / 16 in), Henry 33 (16/17), Murph 30 (14/16), Tubbsy 30 (18/12), Jimmy 28 (16/12), Bean 26 (12/14),
Mike 26 (14/12)  & Q 23 (11/12)
.

COURSE RECORDS:    Strokes - P.West 81 (prev. P.West 83 01/02)
COURSE WORST:        Stableford - I.Quinton 23 ( prev D.Murphy 27 12/13)

Aggregate individual weekend total prizemoney went to Glenn with a combined 71 points over Henry 69 others were:
JG 68, AC 67, MH 59, DM & IQ 58 & AS 47.

The Nancarrow's Cup Final: Jimmy did a "Bradbury" to win from 3rd place as a sub then the other finalists just fell over.
Jimmy d Q 5 & 3. The closest match of the weekend!  (Ohhhh the painnn - make it stop!!!)

Sunday's Stabrose winners at Yarrawonga Murray were: Henry, Tubbsy, Q & Bean 116pts. to DM/GM/JG/MH 107 pts.

 2016/17 ROUND SIXSHEPPARTON GC

With only 8 starters including Andrew (Tubbsy) Cameron this years penultimate round is on the kikuyu fairways of the Shepparton GC then onto Yarrawonga for the final round on the Murray Course.

Groups were .... PW/MH/GM/AC & DM/IQ/AS/JG (matchplay group)

Coming into the barriers Q was holding a handy 3.5 point lead over Glenn, 4 points over The Bean & 6.5 over Jimmy. At the half way mark the scores were: Tubbsy 22, Mike, Glenn, & Henry 18, Jimmy & Q 17, Murph 14 & Beano 8 stableford points

At the end of the straight it was Jimmy the Griff greeting the judge with a fine 40 points (17 & 23), then Tubbsy 37 (22/15) & Henry third with 36 (18/18). While Q fought well for 4th spot on 35 (17/18) and Glenn 5th with 34 (18/16). Mike 33 (18/15), Murph 28 (14/14) & in last place Beano 24 (8/16) blew his chances on the first nine holes of the weekend.

So Q now takes a 4.5 point lead over Glenn & Jimmy going into the last round while Bean can't win - 8 points behind with only a field of 8.

Nancarrow's Cup Match Play semi finalists were Murph v Quinny and Jimmy (sub for Kenny) v Beano - Beano's 7th SF.

After 9 holes Q turned 2 up while Jimmy held a massive 6 up lead over The Bean. Jimmy went on to win 8 & 6 at the 12th with Quinny recording 6 & 5 win at the 13th.

Q d Murph 6 & 5
Jimmy d Beano 8 & 6.

The Match Play Finalists are Q v Jimmy

The final round will be at Yarrawonga Golf Club (Murray) on Saturday 4 March from 10.10am.
Groups were drawn..... JG/IQ/PW/GM & AS/DM/AC/MH

SHEPPARTON GC  - 1.00pm FRIDAY 3 MARCH 2017 - STABLEFORD
& YARRAWONGA MURRAY COURSE - 10.10am SATURDAY 4 MARCH 2017 - STABLEFORD

SHEPPARTON GC YARRAWONGA - MURRAY COURSE

The Ambrose Day will also be held on the Murray Course on Sunday 5 March @ 8.50am

The matchplay semi finalists have traditionally made up one group on the Friday - which means the only other 4 in attendance will make up the other group. If Scoot manages to make it then we have 9 players which will mean that we will have to split the matchplay pairs and draw one player in each of their groups and 3 others making up the third group. The playing groups for the final round on Saturday will be drawn on Friday night with the Matchplay finalists to be in the last group.

The playing groups for the Ambrose Event will be drawn on Saturday afternoon.

ROUND FIVEBAYVIEWS (CARRINGTON PARK) - BEAN CRASHES & SEMI'S ARE SET!

Cold & windy conditions on the slopes of Arthur's Seat as we congregated for the time honoured (postponed) Dewars Teams event. However, high scoring was the order of day despite the conditions. Kenny came out on top for his fourth Dewars individual honours with a masterful 46 points (23 out / 23 in), with Q in second spot with 43 (22/21). Guest player Tubbsy (Andrew Cameron) compiled 39 points (19/20) for third place while Beano blew his overall lead coming in last managing just the 31 points (12/19). So it leaves 6 players within 12 points going into the final two rounds at Shepparton/Yarrawonga.

We forgot to thank Jimmy for the supply of the Chivas Regal to the winner which came from his own personal stock. Perhaps we should look at using Massey funds in future to purchase a bottle of Scotch and some sleeves of 3 golf balls to the winner / team.

Other scores were:
Murph 38 (18/20), Henry 37 (19/18), Glenn 36 (14/22), Jimmy 33 (14/19), Scoot 33 (16/19), Schimma 32 (16/16), Robbo 32 (16/16) & Mike 23 (18/14). Gooey & Fussy absent.

The Dewars Team results were:
PW/RW/GM/MH -  37pts (16/21 -brought ball home) - Won on back nine count back.
DM/ACT/JG/IQ - 37pts (17/20 - brought ball home)
MR/KB/AS/SS -  0pts (Robbo lost ball on 1st)

The Nancarrow's Cup match play results were as follows:

Pool A - Murph v Tubbsy (Fussy) AS; Henry d Mike 2 & 1; Bean d Robbo (Gooey) 2 & 1
Pool B - Quinny d Jimmy 6 & 5; Glenn d Schimma 3 & 2; Kenny d Scoot 3 & 2.

The Bean Machine is in yet another semi final where he is due to meet Kenny. Kenny's pending unavailability will mean that Jimmy the Griff gets another chance at a trophy by being promoted from third place. The other semi will be contested between Q & Murph.

The final rounds are at Shepparton GC on Friday 3 March at 1.00pm & Yarrawonga & Border Country Club (Murray) on Saturday 4 March at 10.10am. Then we are back on the Murray Course for Ambrose day on Sunday 5 March at 8.50am.

The match play semi finalists have traditionally made up one group - which means the only other 4 in attendance will make up the other group. If Scoot manages to make it then we have 9 players which will mean that we will have to split the matchplay pairs and draw one player in each of their groups and 3 others making up the third group.

ROUND FOURCAPE SCHANCK - BEAN SEEN WRITING SPEECH?

With only 8 warriors able to participate it was decided at the first tee that the Dewars would be postponed until the next round. On a very fresh & windy day it was Beano who was able to consolidate on his healthy start to gain maximum points with a stellar 43 stableford (27 out & 16 in). Jimmy held it together with a solid 37 (16/21), while Henry (17/19) & Murph (also 17/19) rounded out the placings with 36's. So far this season four players have unfortunately only been able to make it to one or two rounds. Only five players in all have been fortunate enough to be available for all four rounds to date. Back at Camp David statements were being uttered that the Massey was dying. Naaaaay, we said, never, even if there were only two of us the Massey would live on! Meanwhile, The Bean sat in his corner quietly penning his acceptance speech for another Triple Crown. Pity if there is even less players at Carrington Park for the postponed Dewars after he has already unofficially taken out the first leg!!!!

Many thanks once again go to Murph for the great hospitality.

Other scores were:
Scoot 32 (18/14), Glenn 23 (10/13), Kenny 22 (8/14)  & Q 22 (12/10) - Fussy walked just to remind us he was still around

The Nancarrow's Cup match play results were as follows:

Pool A - Henry d Fussy by Forf; Murph d Gooey by Forf; Bean d Mike by Forf.
Pool B - Kenny d Q  2 & 1; Scoot d Schimma by Forf; Jimmy d Glenn 4 & 3.

The next round WILL be "The Dewars Classic" at Bayviews (Carrington Park) on Sunday 12 February at 2.00pm. Standby for groups/Dewars teams....

ROUND THREEROSEBUD (SOUTH) - BACK TO BACK FOR Q!

Probably for the first time in Massey history that the first three rounds have been played in temperatures well below 20 deg and probably also the first time since "alternate days" were allowed that only half the field was assembled for round three. Absentees were Murph, Mike, Gooey, Schimma, Henry, Fussy (& Robbo).

The smaller field has enabled yours truly to go back to back, although 46 points (25 out / 21 in) would have been hard to beat! Scoot gave it a good nudge just missing the chocolates with 45 points (17 / 28). Glenn (18/21) & Bean (23/16) compiled a healthy 39 points each to tie for third. A desperately unlucky Glenn shot 85 off the stick but still lost his match 6 &4. Kenny was not far off with a 38 (18/20) and Jimmy was the only one who didn't have his handicap shaved with a round of 33 while still earning a valuable 7 points minimum.

The Nancarrow's Cup match play results were as follows:

Pool A - Bean d Murph by Forf; Fussy v Mike  No Result; Henry v Gooey  No Result.
Pool B - Q d Glenn 6 & 4; Kenny d Schimma  by Forf; Scoot d Jimmy 4 & 2.

The next round will be "The Dewars Classic" at Cape Schanck on Friday 20 January at 2.00pm. Standby for groups....

ROUND TWODEVIL BEND - HANDY BEAN IN LEAD!

Only Kenny was missing this time on a another cool to mild day with Robbo filling in and making a bit of a difference as well. Fussy also blessed us with a rare appearance.

Starting with the back nine first, Quinny was finally able to play to a 32 handicap and return a winning score of 39 points (18 out / 21 in). While Glenn & Gooey made up the podium with a pair of 36's (19/17 & 21/15). Those who take any notice of the "Chart Form" could have easily selected the Box Trifecta with around 50% placings at the track each. Scoot on the other hand struggled with no feeling in his legs and was forced to retire after 9 holes after accumulating 18 points. Therefore, we have to officially give last pace to Henry who appears to be struggling this year with only 23 points to go with the 20 points in round 1(is that because he new he would be missing round 3 and is tanking for next season!!??).

Our current overall leader is The Bean who has also seen his handicap slip out to a personal worst 40, putting him in a very handy position at this stage of the season.

Other scores were:
Murph 34 (18/16), Robbo "Bit of a Difference" 32 (17/15), Bean 32 (20/12), Schimma 28 (14/14), Mike 27 (14/13), Jimmy 27 (14/13), Fussy 27 (17/10) & Henry 23 (8/15) - Scoot DNF 18 after 9 holes.

HANDICAP WORST:    A.Sawyer 40.0 (prev. 39.6)

The Nancarrow's Cup match play results were as follows:

Pool A - Gooey d Fussy 3 & 2; Bean d Henry 4 & 3; Murph d Mike 4 & 2.
Pool B - Glenn d Robbo (Kenny) 4 & 3; Schimma v Jimmy AS; Q d Scoot 2 up after nine.

The next round will be at Rosebud Country Club on Sunday 27 November at 3.00pm. BBQ & Beers in car park after game - Standby for groups....

ROUND ONESt  ANDREWS BEACH - THE RETURN OF THE BEAN

For the second year running we only had nine starters for the first of the season with notable absentees/apologies from Fussy, Schimma & Gooey in what was quite cool but calm conditions for golf.

After a mediocre season last year The Bean has got off to a great start to take the big points with a creditable 36 stableford score (19 out / 17 in). Similarly, Jimmy the Grif is also away nice and handy after a lean previous season with a score of 35 (20/15), while Murph did enough on the front nine to hold onto third spot with 30 points (21/9). The rest of us Muppets were at least another 4 points further back with very ordinary scores and no excuses at all!

Last years champ picked a good day to have a bad one picking up a minimum four points while scoring his worst ever return of only 20 stableford (10/10) quickly making up his winners penalty in the process.

Other scores were:
Scoot 26 (15/11), Glenn 26 (12/14), Mike 25 (10/15), Q 21 (12/9) & Kenny 21 (12/9).

2015-2016 FINAL ROUND - YARRAWONGA LAKES

Once again we had only three players left with a mathematical chance of winning the Massey. Henry now 7 pts ahead of Glenn and 9.5 pts ahead of Murph. Glenn was very, very optimistic on Friday night of causing another "miracle on the golf course" comeback victory.

At the half way mark the scores were:
Jimmy & Quinny 22, Schimma 21, Robbo & Kenny 18, Murph & Gooey 17, Glenn & Henry 16, Beano 15 & Scoot 13. It seems that the chasers had a window of opportunity there but couldn't take advantage of Henry's mediocre 9 hole total.

The Match Play final saw Schimma 3 up at the half after winning 4 of the first 9 holes.

Murph & Glenn both made up ground overtaking many others coming home with 35 (17 & 18) and 34 (16/18) respectively. However, unfortunately for them those others also slipped behind Henry who carded a final score of 33 points (16/17), doing enough to bring home an unprecedented ninth Massey title (out of 31). It was also Glenn's 9th runner's up.

Jimmy shot a magnificent 42 points (new course record) to win the final round with Schimma in second spot with a 39 both having super weekends of golf.

Scores were:
Jimmy 42 (22 out / 20 in), Schimma 39 (21/18), Murph 35 (17/18), Glenn 34 (16/18), Henry 33 (16/17), Q 32 (22/10),
Robbo 31 (18/13, Scoot 29 (13/16), Gooey 28 (17/11), Kenny 28 (18/10) & Beano 27 (15/12)
.

COURSE RECORDS:    Stableford - J.Griffiths 42 (prev. S.Soutar 40)

Aggregate individual weekend total prizemoney went to Jimmy with a combined 81 points over Schimma 79 others were:
PW 72, DM, GM & KB 68, MR 65, SS 63, IQ 59, SL 55 & AS 46.

The Nancarrow's Cup Final: Schimma d Robbo 4 & 3.

Sunday's Ambrose winners at Yarrawonga Murray were: Murph, Schimma, Glenn & Q who won by 0.5 strokes.

 2015-2016 ROUND SIXBLACK BULL, YARRAWONGA

F@#king hot conditions welcomed us back to Yarrawonga for our first round at the all new Black Bull GC. Staying at original home of the Massey finals the Yarrawonga GC.
Unfortunately, Michael was a late withdrawal due to work commitments.

Groups were drawn on Thursday night .... SL/SS/DM; JG/KB/PW/GM & RW/IQ/MR/AS (matchplay group)

With Henry coming into the round holding a handy 5 & 6 point lead over Glenn & Murph respectively. At the half way mark the scores were: Henry 22 (35 strokes!), Schimma 22, Jimmy, Kenny & Scoot 19, Glenn 16, Murph & Robbo 15, Gooey 13, Quinny 10 & Beano 9

In stifling heat it was Schimma (22 & 18) & Kenny (19 & 21) who tied in first place with 40 pts a piece, Henry (22/17) & Jimmy (19/20) equal 3rd with 39 pts. Glenn (16/18) & Murph (15/18) could only manage 34 & 33 respectively to drop further behind. An overall lead of 7 points over Glenn & 10.5 over Murph. As we know from recent history Glenn has chased down bigger leads and with Henry's handicap trimmed to 3.9 - who knows?

Other scores were:

Robbo 34 (15/19), Scoot 34 (19/15), Gooey 27 (13/14), Quinny 27 (10/17) & Beano 19 (9/10).

Nearest the Pin winners were: 1st Schimma 0.5m, 3rd Henry.

ROUND FIVEFLINDERS - HENRY HOLDS ON & SEMI'S ARE SET!

Beautiful conditions greeted us by the sea, however many disappointing scores might have suggested otherwise. Glenn went out intent on making up ground and played accordingly with a standout 40 points (19 out & 21 in) to beat an improved Beano 38 points (13 out & 25 in - What!) with Murph doing enough with a 37 (17 out & 20 in) to come in 3rd and also make up some handy ground on Henry prior to the final rounds in Yarrawonga.
It now seems like a battle between four (or is it just One!) with Henry taking a 5 point lead over Glenn to the Big Weekend with Murph just one point further adrift and a disappointing result for Gooey seeing him a further 2 points behind Murph and now some 8.5 points off the lead. The rest of the field is 12.5 points + off the pace.

Other scores were:
Mark "The Difference" O'Connor 36 (20/16), Schimma 36 (20/16), Westy 34 (16/18), Robbo 31 (12/21), Q 31 (14/17), Gooey 30 (14/16), Scoot 29 (15/14) & Jimmy 27 (17/10). Mike & Kenny absent.

The Nancarrow's Cup match play results were as follows:

Pool A - Robbo d Scoot 3 & 2, Q d Gooey 1 up; Murph d Kenny by Forf
Pool B - Fussy (for Mike) d Henry 2 & 1; Schimma v Jimmy 6 & 4; Bean d Glenn 1 up.

Robbo sweeps into the Matchplay Semi's undefeated (after missing the first round) where he now meets The mighty Bean who is in his 6th semi final in 7 years! The other semi will be contested between Schimma & Q.
The matchplay event has once again done what it was introduced to do by giving other players something to play for with virtually no chance of Massey Glory left.

The final rounds are at Black Bull in Yarrawonga on Friday 11 March at 12.40pm & Yarrawonga & Border Country Club (Lakes) on Saturday 12 March at 10.15am. With Ambrose day on The Murray Course Sunday 13 March at 7.50am.

Groups will be drawn at the Somerville Resort of James Griiffiths on Wednesday 9 March (see forum post) with match play semi finalists traditionally making up one group - last year we had them in the last group as they tend to be slower. It also gives others a chance to watch the final putts on the 18th green if they wish to (subject to further discussion).

ROUND FOURCAPE SCHANCK - "BACK TO BACK DEWARS FOR GOOEY"

Play commenced on the back nine with the 9th hole out of play and the "betting hole" played as the ninth. Gooey went back to back in The Dewars Classic with a red hot 46 stableford points (24 out & 22 in - no anchor there!) to earn the big points and keep within striking distance of the little tubby master who also compiled 39 points (19 / 20) to finish on the podium in third spot. While "The Difference" shot a very winnable score of 41 points (15 / 26 wow!) to come home in second place.

Henry now holds a 5.5 point lead over Gooey with three rounds to play with Murph a further 3.5 points further back in third spot overall. While the rest of the field have some catching up to do.

Other scores were:
Q 37 (18/19), Bean 36 (14/22), Kenny 36 (16/20), Murph 35 (17/18), Glenn 31 (14/17), Schimma 30 (14/16), Jimmy 30 (15/15), Mike 28 (15/13) & Scoot 27 (14/13)

DM/RW/GM/MR - 32pts (Schimma lost ball on last - ie 8th)
PW/IQ/A.S/S.S -  21pts (Q lost ball on 18 ie 11th)

More controversy surrounded Ray "15 Clubs" Wiseman when he stood accused of playing "Social Golf" by his fellow playing group members - he also lost the "Dewars" after losing the ball on the last hole which saw his team go down by one point. He was put before the Massey Kangaroo Court and subsequently sentence to hang by the neck.

 ROUND TWOLEONGATHA - SCHIMMA SHINES

A nice warm day greeted us at lovely Leongatha for round 2 action where a full field competed with Robbo in for Fussy for the rest of the season.

We started on the 14th hole and only one player, Schimma managed to beat his handicap playing in his first game for the year and took much needed maximum points coming home with a score of 37 stableford (17 front & 20 back). Scoot returned to form to finish 2nd with 36 pts (18 & 18) while Westy (19/16) & Jimmy (21/14) tied third on 35.  ROUND ONEDEVIL BEND - WESTY & GOOEY SHOW SOME EARLY FORM

Sadly, only nine were able to take their place in the opening round this year with notable absentees/apologies from Fussy, Schimma & Jimmy on what was not a bad day for golf.

Westy & Gooey have got the best start this season to share the main Massey points with credible returns of 38 stableford (both 19 out & 19 in). With Murph & Michael sharing 3rd on 36 points apiece (Murph 21 out /15 in & Mike 16 / 20). The rest of our intrepid warriors were 5 to 13 points further adrift. Including last years champ Glenn who could only muster 11 points on the back nine for a total of 29 points in 6th place.

Other scores were:
Q 31 (17/14), Glenn 29 (18/11), Kenny 26 (11/15), Beano 25 (13/12) & Scoot 23 (13/10).

COURSE RECORDS:    Strokes P.West 77 (= prev. 2007/08)

2014-2015 FINAL ROUND - LONSDALE GC - HISTORY NEVER REPEATS OR DOES IT!

With only three players left with a mathematical chance of winning the Massey and Jimmy a whopping 7.5 pts ahead of Glenn and a big chance for the double (inc. Match Play!). But will he struggle with a jarred thumb received during yesterday play - we headed off to Lonsdale GC.

At the half way mark (back nine played first) The scores were:
Fussy 23, Scoot 20, Robbo 19, Murph & Gooey 18, Henry & Q 17, Mike 16, Beano 15, Glenn & Jimmy 14, Schimma 12. Once again the leaders were succumbing to the pressure, and Beano & Glenn need to make up 8 points to catch Jimmy and still had a lot to do with only 9 holes left but Jimmy was seen struggling with his injury.

The Match Play final saw Fussy 5 up at the half after winning the first 5 holes with the monkey on his back getting very restless.

Bean struggled to get going coming in with only 14pts for a total of 29, Jimmy clearly battling, managed only to muster another 13 points for a total of 27. However, reminiscent of 08/09, Glenn fought back with 21 pts for a total of 35 to finish fifth on the day which meant Jimmy needed to finish last for an upset. Then as the cards were collated back at the Seaview Cottages lounge / bar it was revealed that history would indeed repeat for Glenn as he brought home his second Massey title from a long way back - this time by 0.5 points but no play-off required.

Fusspot shot an incredible 43 points to win the round and the Match Play final 6 & 4 over the wounded Jimmy and the monkey was finally off his back which was last seen amongst the bamboo trees of the Esplanade Hotel beer garden waiting for the Rod Stewart (or was it Brian Mannix? - Nar nar not me!) tribute show.

Scores were:
Fussy 43 (23 out / 20 in), Scoot 40 (20/20), Henry 36 (17/19), Robbo 36 (19/17), Glenn 35 (14/21), Gooey 31 (18/13),
Murph 30 (18/12, Q 30 (17/13), Mike 30 (16/14), Beano 29 (15/14), Schimma 28 (12/16), Jimmy 27 (14/13).

Aggregate Stableford results were: RW/MR/SS/IQ 140, JG/MO/SL/MH 131, PW/DM/GM/AS 130.

The Nancarrow's Cup Final: Fussy d Jimmy 6 & 5.

Sunday's Ambrose results at Curlewis were: Henry, Jimmy, Mike & Gooey net 54.9 off 10.1 (birdied 6 of last 7 holes!). GM/MO/AS net 56.5 off 12.5 and RW/SS/MR/IQ net 59.9 off 12.1

2014-2015 ROUND SIXTHIRTEENTH BEACH - WILL HISTORY REPEAT?

Overseas to the Bellarine Peninsula for the penultimate & final rounds of the 35th Massey staying in historical Queenscliff where the Seaview Cottages hosted by Helen & John provided us with a real private Massey club house type of feel.

The windswept Thirteenth Beach greeted us for the traditional moving day of the Massey with "No.13" Robbo once again filling the breach (good onya mate!) after Kenny had withdrawn due to work commitments.

At the half way mark the scores were: Murph 22 (39 strokes!), Glenn 19, Mike 17, Fussy 16, Henry, Jimmy & Gooey 15, Bean & Scoot 12, Robbo 11, Schimma 10 & Quinny 9

All scores returned for the day proved how tough the going was with everyone failing to get close to par 36 points. It was Murph & Glenn who tied in first place with 33 pts a piece, Murph with only 11 points coming in and Glenn in with 14. While Henry came in with a 13 for a total of 28 points for third. The Massey leader managed to tie for fifth with 26 points - this was enough for Jimmy to increase his lead over Bean to 8 points. However, Glenn edged into 2nd place but still 7.5 points behind with one round to go. The biggest lead since Glenn overhauled Kenny at The Dunes in 08/09. Will history be repeated?

Other scores were:

Robbo 27 (11/16), Q 26 (9/17), Jimmy 26 (15/11), Schimma 25 (10/15), Mike 25 (17/8), Fussy 24 (16/8), Bean 22 (12/10), Scoot 22 (12/10) & Gooey 15 (7/8 - what!).

Aggregate Stableford results were: - PW/DM/IQ/MR 115; RW/GM/MH/SS 105; SL/MO/JG/AS 87 (The Match Play Group!).

PERSONAL WORST:    Stableford - S.Lamey 15 (prev. 22); R.Wiseman 25 (= prev. 25)

Nancarrow's Cup Match Play semi finalists were Jimmy v Beano and Fussy v Gooey -  (Beano's 5th SF & Fussy's 4th)

After 9 holes Jimmy turned 1 up while Fussy had already picked up 5 holes over a struggling Gooey (with 5 wipes!). This match was all over at the 13th with Fusspot scoring a resounding 6 & 5 win to go into his third GF. Whilst Jimmy got away from Bean with a 4 & 2 win for his 2nd GF appearance.

Jimmy def Beano 4 & 2
Fussy thrashed Gooey 6 & 5.

The Match Play Finalists are Jimmy v Fussy plus monkey!

The final round will be at Lonsdale Golf Club on Saturday 21March from 8.50am.
Groups were drawn..... PW/DM/GM/AS;  JG/MO/SL/MH;  RW/MR/SS/IQ
