IN: D.MURPHY,
M.HALL
OUT: M.FREEMAN,
M.WEST
After four years Mark
Freeman is farewelled and Mark West embarks on a two year Kiwi adventure.
Newcomers David "MURPH" Murphy and "IRON" Michael Hall are
initiated and given starting handicaps of 22 & 21 respectively.
Quinny records a net 54 with 85 off the stick
after yet another win at Flinders
dropping 8 shots off his handicap but backs it up with a solid net 69 off 23
at Sorrento to silence the doubters. However, three wins in one season was not enough
during this inconsistent year to make any impact.
A SIGN OF THINGS TO
COME!
However, after a fairly
easy victory Paul West etches his name on the trophy for a second time with another polished
performance which has seen his handicap lowered from the dizzy heights of 37.4
in 1987 to 11.9 this year to send an ominous warning to the rest of the
rabble.
After getting off to a
good start Jimmy hung on to third place while Glenn continues to establish himself
as the perennial bridesmaid.
