Round One - 7.30 am
Sunday 9 October DEVIL BEND - (Stab)
One of the traditional
Massey tracks is back on the tour! I can just hear Gooey cheering
now as this is one of his favourites. Might be Bathurst weekend as
well... so you petrol heads better get your priorities in order.

Round Two - 7.30
am Sunday 13 November CARRINGTON PARK - (Stroke)
Weather should be
picking up... and what better place to be on a nice sunny Sunday
morning than the Rosebud Public overlooking the mighty Port Phillip
Bay!
Home of the inaugural Massey round way back in 1985.

Round Three - 2.30 pm Sunday 4 December AMSTEL - (Stroke)
Only the
second occasion that the Massey has graced this evergreen course in
Cranbourne. A Sunday arvo... but at terrific value. There should
still be plenty of time for a bit of a sip in the sports bar after
the game... and it's only a relatively short drive home no matter
where you live! |

Round Four - 2.00 pm Friday 20 January PATTERSON RIVER - (Stab)
The now traditional
home of the Dewars Stableford Classic. Subject to confirmation by Murph
& Jimmy!. This testing layout should just about be at it's peak
following all the reconstruction works... a real test to keep that
"Dewars" ball alive. How bout that now traditional BBQ as well Murph??

Round Five - 3.00 pm Saturday 11 February FLINDERS - (Par)
The
penultimate twilight round at the West Head of the peninsula. A
coastal delight where the warm summer breeze seems more temperate
down here. The beer is ice cold at the Flinders Pub and those famous
La Lupa's pizzas in Tyabb on the way home. Mmmm! |

Round
Six - 9.30 am Saturday 4 March 13TH BEACH -
(Stroke)
Par 72, 6410m.
Situated an hour south of Melbourne at Barwon Heads and set on 550
acres. The course is dry all year round, cutting through the
abundant sand dunes and winding around Murtnagurt Lagoon with 3km
ocean frontage. The greens are certain to be recognised as a
highlight of any visit to Thirteenth Beach. Not only are the special
Bent surfaces superb, but the designers and constructors have
resisted all temptation to create roller coaster ups and downs.
Having worked hard to reach the green, golfers will find putting a
relatively uncomplicated affair. Certainly there is undulation,
bumps, swales and multi-tiers, but unlike other new coastal layouts
there is no craziness. The greens are totally in keeping with the
design concept to challenge with subtlety rather than brutal length,
monstrous bunkers and lengthy carries. |

Ambrose
Day - 7.50 am Sunday 5 March BARWON HEADS
Par 70, ACR 70, 5757m.
Nestled in the dunes at the mouth
of the River Barwon, lies a traditional links course. Here the
elements of nature join with the beauty of the coastline; couple
this with the gracious charm and elegance of the old Club House,
where there is comfortable accommodation, fine cuisine and a well
stocked bar, you are assured of a unique golfing experience. Barwon
Heads, is a club that oozes class, where a certain decorum - not
unlike Muirfield - must be maintained. The club is vigilant in
regards to its dress code.
The final Ambrose game is alway a highlight on an arduous
weekend of golf. Might even consider staying for an extra night
myself this year! |
